Thanksgiving

November 1998

For the beauty of the Light I thank Thee,

For the tread of Thy Feet on earth I thank Thee,

For those who aspire for Truth I thank Thee,

For the descent of Thy Grace I thank Thee,

For Thy human emissaries I thank Thee,

For the flowers, divine on earth I thank Thee,

For companions on the path I thank Thee,

For Thy touch upon my days I thank Thee.

In the planting of a seed I remember Thee,

In the greeting of fellow men I remember Thee,

In the days of tears and pain I remember Thee,

In the moments of laughter and joy I remember Thee,

In dark and perilous times I call Thee,

In the times of great uplift I call Thee

In the stillness and the hush I call Thee,

In the plenitude of Thy gifts I call Thee.

As I tread the upward path I sing Thee,

As I stumble in the ways I sing Thee,

As I kneel alone in prayer I sing Thee,

As I wake and sleep in joy I sing Thee.

In the faces of stainless children I see Thee,

In the eyes of the aged and infirm I see Thee,

In the blind and frail and lost I see Thee,

In the aspiring congress of souls I see Thee.
